Jason Sebacher, Founder & Managing Editor

At Gitelman & Good Publishers, our mission is to provide high school drama teachers with a curated selection of plays that resonate deeply with their students. With the goal of providing a convenient platform for selecting, purchasing, and licensing meaningful dramatic works, we also aim to nurture writers dedicated to creating impactful content for this age group.

With an MFA from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama and nearly a decade as a volunteer theatre educator with Chicago Public Schools, I have firsthand experience writing plays and conducting workshops for teens. Witnessing the enthusiasm of teenagers for stories that are both challenging and enjoyable has inspired my commitment to providing plays with substance. Every playwright in our curated catalog has been carefully selected to ensure that we offer nothing but the best.

Our plays not only entertain but also empower students to explore the complexities of our world today. Join us as we support educators and writers in fostering a deeper engagement with the beauty and intricacies of dramatic storytelling.

Larry Little, Business Development Manager

My theatrical career spans thirty-five years and more than 100 productions—first as an actor, singer, and dancer, then as a director and producer. Along the way, I became a Certified Public Accountant, gaining an additional skill set that now informs my work as a creating producer, developing new shows.

I serve as Lead Producer at CPA Theatricals and LCG Entertainment, LLC, the companies I founded to bring musical theatre to under-served populations. Our shows tell the "Heroine’s Tale": we create strong, compelling roles for female performers, increase opportunities for female composers and directors, and expand representation onstage. Our completed projects—all licensed for international distribution and translated into two languages—serve the commercial market as well as middle school, high school, college, and community theatre performers.

I’m now thrilled to be collaborating with Gitelman & Good Publishers. larry@gitelmangoodpublishers.com

Mitch Emoff, Production Director

I'm a writer, producer, and business leader based in Western North Carolina. A graduate of the UCLA Professional Writing Program, I wrote and produced Father, Son & Holy Moses!, a feature film that won the Audience Choice Award at the International Christian Film Festival and is currently in distribution with Bridgestone Multimedia.

Beyond the screen and stage, I've spent over 30 years building and running a marketing firm with annual revenues of $25 million. That experience--leading teams, developing campaigns, and helping businesses grow--now informs my work in theatre, where I blend creative insight with strategic know-how.

Since 2019, I've devoted my energy to theatre. With more than ten award-winning scripts to my name, I collaborate actively with local companies to bring new stories to life, including two plays in the GGP catalog: Reconstitution and Chickens. My work draws on universal themes and employs comedy as a way to bring levity and laughter to even the most serious topics. mitch@gitelmangoodpublishers.com

Karen Pionke, Education Programs Manager

I began my theatre journey in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, performing in both musicals and plays, along with work in print and radio. After moving to Illinois in 1988, I found my passion behind the scenes—supporting theatre through teaching, directing, and arts leadership.

Over the years, I’ve earned degrees in education, history, and theatre/speech communications, and built a nationally recognized middle school theatre program at Viking Middle School in Gurnee, IL. I was honored to be nominated for the Golden Apple Award in Teaching and to direct more than 120 productions, including two that were selected for the International Junior Thespian stage. Beyond the classroom, I’ve served on the National Board of the Educational Theatre Association, the Illinois Thespian Board, and worked with the Illinois Board of Education on theatre curriculum and assessment.

As Education Programs Manager at Gitelman & Good, I’m excited to draw on my experience to make sure our plays and resources are not only accessible...but also truly meaningful for teachers and students! karen@gitelmangoodpublishers.com

Paige Emoff, Digital Marketing Coordinator

As the Digital Marketing Coordinator at Gitelman & Good Publishers, I'm driven by my passion for the writing world and the unique playwriting that our company champions. With a degree in English, concentrated in Creative Writing from Indiana University, I’m not only a marketer but also a writer who understands the value of fresh and inspiring content.

In my role, I focus on networking with talented writers and promoting our diverse catalog of plays. I manage our social media accounts with the goal of creating genuine connections rather than coming across as a faceless corporation. I believe in engaging with our audience personally, fostering a community of creative minds, and offering high school students access to plays that break away from the norm.

Having been a theater kid myself, I know how repetitive and uninspiring it can be to see the same plays over and over (yes, I am talking about Oklahoma), which is why I’m committed to promoting unique and exciting options that spark creativity and inspiration. My mission is to grow our network, connect with fellow creatives, and pass that knowledge on to the next generation of artists. paige@gitelmangoodpublishers.com
