As a young coed rides a northbound red-line train on a cold Chicago night, she’s approached by a complete stranger—they’re reading the same book, isn’t that funny? The train suddenly loses power, and in the dark she is murdered. The motley crew begins an investigation aboard this ill-fated train, led by a famous podcast host with a flair for the dramatic. But when another murder occurs—and another, and another—this unfortunate party realizes two things: that they will all be dead unless the murderer is uncovered, and that they are not so much all strangers as…just strange.
How We Price
Our pricing is simple and transparent. Each play includes two parts: a one-time script fee of $150, which grants you immediate access to the play and permission to copy and share it within your program; and a performance license of $65 per performance, which covers your live productions for the selected license duration.
How You License
At checkout, select your license duration (for example, the current or next school year) and the number of performances you plan to give. Each license covers live, in-person performances.
What You Get
You’ll receive an instant PDF download of the full script. During your license period, you’re free to copy, print, and share the script within your school or theatre program for rehearsal and performance use—no per-script fees or copy limits.
Praise for This Play
"My students producedStranger as a radio play during remote learning, and it became one of the most memorable projects of the year. The script’s dark humor and mystery kept them completely engaged, and the layered dialogue gave them opportunities to develop acting skills. Even students who were shy about performing found confidence in the audio format!" - Mary Beth Kordik, Mather High School
