Publication Contest: "A Better World"

Please consider submitting your full-length play for high schoolers on the theme of "A Better World." Three winners will be selected for an opportunity to have their submitted play published in the Gitelman & Good Publishers catalog.
As a contest participant, your play will be reviewed ahead of general submissions.

- Explore the theme "A Better World."
- Are challenging, beautiful, and fun.
- Explore the lived experiences of adolescents.
- Are appropriate for high-school actors and audiences.
- Are full-length (greater than 60 minutes).
- Have been produced, with production photos.
Author Information. Please provide a submissions packet that includes:
- Name
- Email address
- Preferred gender pronouns (optional)
- Artistic statement, endeavors, and/or goals
Script Information. Please provide:
- Name and contact information
- A PDF of your full-length play
- A brief synopsis (up to 200 words)
- Production history
- Production photographs
- Misc. submission notes (including rights info if applicable)
Submission Checklist. Please review and confirm the following before submitting:
- ☑ I have reviewed Gitelman & Good Publishers’ mission, catalog, and website, and I believe this play aligns with the company’s goals and audience.
- ☑ I understand that Gitelman & Good Publishers markets plays for teenage performers. While some scripts may have originated with adult actors in mind, all must be appropriate, resonant, and meaningful for high-schoolers today.
- ☑ This play has been produced, and I can provide high-quality production photos for marketing purposes.
- ☑ I confirm that this play is not under consideration elsewhere, or I will disclose any current publishing/licensing discussions in my submission notes.
- ☑ I am submitting this play with the intent to publish, pending mutual agreement.
- ☑ If revisions are requested, I agree to collaborate with an editor—potentially making significant changes—as a condition of publication.
