The Edge of Neverland reimagines the classic Peter Pan story through the lens of a modern teenager. After a sudden accident, Wendy finds herself in Neverland—a world of adventure, freedom, and escape from the pressures of her everyday life. But as fantasy and reality begin to overlap, she must decide whether to remain in a world without consequences or return to the imperfect, meaningful life she left behind. The play invites powerful conversations about identity, growing up, family relationships, and what it means to choose life when it is difficult.

What’s Included in the Free Lesson Plans

▪ Pre-reading and post-reading discussion questions focused on identity, relationships, and the tension between escape and responsibility
▪ Classroom activities that explore adaptation, symbolism, and the emotional role of fantasy
▪ Personal reflection prompts inviting students to consider their own experiences with pressure, conflict, and connection
▪ Assessment options for analytical writing, creative responses, and comparative analysis
▪ Text connections to novels, plays, and films that explore adolescence, imagination, and coming-of-age choices

These materials are designed to help teachers facilitate thoughtful discussion, critical thinking, and meaningful personal connections to the play.
