James Zager Plays

James Zager received his BA in Musical Theatre at the University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point and then moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a professional artist in Musical Theatre and Theatre for Youth for 15 years. Zager received his MFA in Theatre For Youth: Directing/Playwriting at Arizona State University and subsequently served as Program Chair of the BFA in Theatre Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently he is a Full Professor at Carroll University in Wisconsin where he holds the Honorary Pierce-Hedges Chair in Theatre Arts. He has created new works based on classic authors such as Wilde, Homer and Shakespeare and his body of work includes the youth plays What You Will, The Shakespeare Project, Stories Gone Wilde, and Juliet.
