Behind Crusty Rusty’s strip mall pizza parlor, under the glow of a flickering streetlight, you'll find an unlikely sage: the Wizard, who has a reputation as a college application guru, a life coach for the lost, and a dealer of hard truths. From high school seniors fretting over Harvard to dropouts just trying to stay afloat, the alley behind Crusty Rusty’s becomes a place where futures are shaped.
But as the months pass and the Wizard’s control over her domain begins to fray, so does the weight of her own mysterious past. What happens when the guru gets lost? And what about Pinky—the ever-skeptical, ever-grounded night manager—who just might be the only one who sees the cracks forming in the Wizard’s carefully crafted façade?
A funny, empathic play about mentorship, reinvention, and the search for direction, The Wizard Delivers is perfect for high school students navigating their own crossroads.
